ABOUT

Fas Project started with a desire to bring surfing and skateboarding to underprivileged kids in developing countries. In our travel across Africa, we realized youth had much bigger needs such as hunger and education. Our primary focus as a company shifted to meeting hunger and educational needs and our secondary goal became teaching lifestyle sports to give kids ways to cope with hardships and keep them "off the streets.” Every cent of every dollar donated goes to help impoverished children.

Fas Project is a not-for-profit organization from Orange County, California. Our founders, President Fas Lebbie and Nick Jones, both hail from a surf city: San clemente. President Fas Lebbie was born in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and as a young teenager, immigrated to California. His experiences growing up in San Clemente and later returning to Sierra Leone to reconnect with his African heritage led to the creation of the Fas Project. Our goal is to provide education in areas of the world where it is needed the most, and provide humanitarian help with food and educational needs, and introduce children to healthy and engaging sports.

Once a for-profit company, Fas Project is now a fully-certified 501c-3 nonprofit. We grow our impact partnering with those already on the ground and already connected to the issues faced by impoverished communities in the developing world. The heart of our organization is in relationships of many kinds, whether relationships with wonderful schools and orphanages and the passionate people who run them, or connections between our donors and the children who benefit most from their contributions.

Members of the FAS Project are concerned citizens in resource-abundant countries who care about the issues of extreme poverty and are willing to get involved. Our members are dedicated, hardworking and intelligent men and women with a strong desire to improve the lives of people that are less fortunate. We believe that working together enriches All of us as a team and individually.

The problems generated by poverty are complex and wide-ranging; they demand wide-reaching responses. Fas Project sponsors Community Development projects in health, vocational training for impoverished youth, and a developmental skills training program featuring successful athletes in our focused sports (surfing, skating and snowboarding). These projects are financed with donations to the Fas Project.

Our Beginnings

Fas Project was born out of a desire to see how a socially-conscious surf and skate culture could affect change for underprivileged kids around the world -- and the vision only grew from there.

Now, you can partner directly with the Fas Project by donating online. Every cent of every dollar is poured into the work: helping children receive education, food, and care. Clinics and partnerships with local organizations like the Bureh Beach Surf Club in Sierra Leone continue the spirit of the original Fas Project vision: surfers and skaters changing the world, one life at a time.

@THEFASPROJECT

Our vision is to offer underprivileged kids the small yet key changes that can and will lead
to great change for their futures, their families, and their nations.
